Procedure, effects & risks
The problem
After an ear tunnel is removed, the extensively stretched tissue usually does not shrink back completely, leaving a loose, drooping earlobe.
Surgical procedure
Excess tissue is removed and the earlobe is surgically reshaped. The procedure is performed under microscopic magnification to achieve an aesthetic result.
Procedure & aftercare
The outpatient procedure is performed painlessly under local anaesthesia. The wound is closed with fine sutures and covered with waterproof dressings. The sutures and dressings are removed after 12 days.
